The Escape Artist is fast becoming the industry standard, thanks to its hands-free edge transition and optimal descent control. Intended to be pre-rigged on an escape line and kept ready for immediate use, the Escape Artist pays out the rope or web smoothly and then locks when loaded, leaving both hands free to negotiate the exit. Squeezing the lever controls the descent rate. Intended for the most extreme conditions, the Escape Artist features all-metal construction and minimal parts to ensure durability and reliable performance. The handle is located inside the side plates to reduce the potential of catching on an edge and to increase mechanical advantage for easier control.

SURVIVOR™ 8
Machined out of 3/8-inch (9.5-mm) aluminum stock, this compact figure 8 descender works well with escape lines or other small diameter ropes where minimum size and weight are the primary requirements. The rounded edges reduce sharp bends. The large carabiner hole accepts a wide variety of carabiners and helps prevent binding. The Survivor 8 features a hard anodized finish in a dark gray for users who require a non-reflective surface.
