The working line for the AZTEK system must be strong, perform well with small diameter Prusik cord, and be supple enough to pack compactly. Constructed of 100% nylon, our design-specific AZTEK ProSeries cord blends high strength with abrasion resistance for proven performance. The sheath construction is engineered for compatibility with our 6 mm sewn Prusiks and ease of packing into the AZTEK ProSeries pack. Bright orange for high visibility.
The most important attribute of a cord used for Prusik hitches is consistency in handling, diameter and strength. Once you have determined the Prusik hitch that works best on your host rope, you want the same performance every time you replace it. CMC Rescue Prusik Cord has the right balance of suppleness for reliable activation, but is not so soft that it wears out rapidly. Made of 100% nylon with a torque-free, kernmantle construction, it comes in solid colors to help differentiate between cords designed for Prusik hitches and climber’s accessory cords.
We use the same bomber construction in our prussik cord as we do with our multi cord, only we have provided color coding to take the guess work out of setting up your systems. 7mm available in Black or two multi color styles.
